About The Position

Solaris Energy Infrastructure, Inc. (NYSE:SEI) provides scalable equipment-based solutions for use in distributed power generation as well as the management of raw materials used in the completion of oil and natural gas wells. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Solaris serves multiple U.S. end markets, including energy, data centers, and other commercial and industrial sectors. The Senior QA/QC Document Control Specialist owns the project document control system from setup through mechanical completion and turnover. This role sits at the interface between the Owner, engineering firm, and general contractor, administering the EDMS, establishing procedures and file structures, and ensuring that all engineering deliverables, quality records, submittals, RFIs, and turnover dossiers are controlled, transmitted, and archived in compliance with project and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has deep experience in power generation or heavy-industrial EPC projects and has stood up or administered a major EDMS such as Aconex, ProjectWise, Procore, Autodesk Forma or Documentum.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree plus equivalent experience accepted
  • 5+ years of document control experience, with 5+ years in power generation or heavy-industrial EPC construction projects
  • Demonstrated EDMS administration experience (configuration, user management, workflow, reporting) on at least one major platform: Aconex, ProjectWise, Procore, or Documentum
  • Proven experience managing the Owner–EPC–GC document interface on a major capital project
  • Direct experience compiling mechanical completion and turnover dossiers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); SharePoint document libraries
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Own and administer the project EDMS (Aconex, ProjectWise, Procore, Autodesk Forma or Documentum), including configuration, user access, file structure, workflow setup, and reporting
  • Develop and enforce document control procedures, naming conventions, revision control standards, and distribution matrices
  • Manage the full lifecycle of engineering deliverable registers, vendor data, submittals, RFIs, and transmittals across the Owner, EPC, and contractor interfaces
  • Coordinate receipt, review, logging, and distribution of all incoming and outgoing project documentation
  • Ensure QA/QC quality records (inspection reports, test records, NCRs, corrective actions) are captured, indexed, and retrievable in compliance with applicable standards (ISO 9001, project QMS)
  • Lead the compilation and assembly of mechanical completion and turnover dossiers, working closely with construction, commissioning, and QA/QC teams
  • Supervise and mentor the Junior Document Control Specialist and site administrative staff; conduct workload planning and quality checks
  • Liaise with engineering, procurement, construction, and Owner representatives on document status, holds, and outstanding deliverables
  • Generate document control progress reports, KPIs, and backlog/aging analyses for project leadership
  • Conduct audits of contractor and vendor submittals for compliance with project requirements
  • Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, and closeout documentation activities through final as-built and handover package delivery
