About The Position

Yourgi is seeking to add a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to their Technology Team. This role is responsible for ensuring the software and platforms developed deliver an exceptional user experience to team members, customers, and pets. QA Engineers are part of the product delivery team and are responsible for testing reactive web applications, mobile applications, and services. Senior QA Engineers collaborate with product management on product requirements and roadmaps to develop test cases, test strategies, and test data. They participate in sprint planning and daily standups to prioritize development work and meet quality and deliverable timelines. This role involves both manual and automated testing.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance Engineering role
  • 3 years of experience testing web applications developed with Vue.js or React.js
  • 3 years of experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android
  • Experience developing test plans and test cases
  • Experience curating test data sets
  • Experience developing automated test plans
  • Experience testing web-based APIs
  • Experience testing i18n localization applications
  • UX style guide experience for Android and iOS
  • Must be located in and authorized to work in the US
  • Must be able to work during regular US business hours
  • Must attend remote daily standups and other remote meetings
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work in front of a computer for long periods of time

  • Veterinary practice management software, such as Cornerstone, AviMark or Datapoint

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test cases for mobile and web applications
  • Test APIs using Postman
  • Develop test strategies to assure comprehensive quality review of development and platform deliverables
  • Participate in daily standups and sprint planning to facilitate developer priorities and answer questions about defects
  • Record detailed test scenarios, data, and application context to reproduce errors
  • Respond to customer-initiated issues to reproduce errors and facilitate resolution
  • Participate in UX design and product design meetings to understand product expectations and ensure testing strategies meet those expectations
  • Work in an agile development environment, maintaining user story and task status, and t-shirt sizing
  • Focus on customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous development
  • Document test cases and testing strategies in tools such as Azure DevOps and Confluence
  • Communicate on all open projects and provide updates to team members and Technology team staff
