Senior QA Automation Engineer
About The Position
We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in UI and API test automation. The role requires strong expertise in TypeScript and Node.js, along with the ability to develop and maintain automation frameworks. The engineer will help shape the team's quality strategy, build reusable and maintainable automation, and use AI-assisted testing tools and methods to improve testing efficiency and product quality. The position is based in Saint Paul, Minnesota, in a hybrid work mode. The contract duration is six months, and the required shift is 2:00 PM–11:00 PM. The candidate must be willing to work this shift.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of overall QA/testing experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with UI and API test automation.
- TypeScript experience is mandatory.
- Node.js experience is mandatory.
- Strong experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Willingness to work the 2:00 PM–11:00 PM shift.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with annuity products.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, Jira, test planning, test execution, and defect management.
- Working knowledge of GitHub Copilot or similar AI tools.
- Experience with AI-assisted testing methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Participate in design and specification reviews and develop appropriate test plans.
- Design and implement UI and API automation tests.
- Recommend and influence the team's quality strategy across manual and automated testing.
- Ensure automation code is high-quality, reusable, scalable, and maintainable.
- Identify creative approaches to improve overall product and integration quality.
- Leverage AI tools and AI-assisted testing to improve testing efficiency and innovation.
- Promote Continuous Delivery and Continuous Improvement practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other members of the QE team.
- Work effectively in ambiguous situations and develop solutions using AI and automation.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with developers, product teams, and other stakeholders.
