About The Position

Software Mind is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Playwright to join their high-impact Test Automation team. This role involves estimating and planning test automation activities, developing and maintaining a robust test automation solution/framework, and creating high-quality, reliable automated tests. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring the stability of test results, setting up continuous auto test execution within CI/CD pipelines, and performing bug tracking and reporting. This is a collaborative role within a distributed engineering team, working closely with development and QA teams.

Requirements

  • +90% English written and oral (at least B2 level) with excellent communication skills
  • 5+ years of overall experience in QA and test automation.
  • At least 3 years of experience with the JavaScript/TypeScript tech stack.
  • Strong, hands-on experience working with Playwright.
  • Proven experience in integrating tests with CI systems (specifically GitHub Actions is a plus).
  • Deep understanding of test automation methodologies and architecture design principles.
  • Deep understanding of core testing processes, experience in test planning, and effort estimation.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate technical quality status to stakeholders on multiple levels.

  • Experience with AI-driven test automation tools.

  • Experience of working in cross-functional and cross-border teams.
  • ISTQB or equivalent quality certification.

Responsibilities

  • Estimate and plan test automation activities in the project, specifically leveraging Playwright.
  • Develop, extend, and maintain a robust, scalable test automation solution/framework.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, reliable automated tests.
  • Assure the stability and reliability of the automated test suite results (minimizing false negatives).
  • Set up and optimize continuous auto test execution within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Perform bug tracking, detailed reporting, and triage automated test failures.
  • Become a part of a distributed engineering team, working closely with development and QA teams.
