We place a strong emphasis on delighting our customers, spotting and solving problems, and being good people along the way. This is a remote position in South Jordan, Utah (M, W, F in-office). We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with a strong engineering background to join our team. In this role, you will build and maintain our Python and Pytest framework while proactively leveraging agentic AI to optimize testing workflows and ensure the highest code quality. Beyond just maintaining tests, you will be deeply embedded in our development process, engineering robust solutions that bridge the gap between feature creation and automated validation.

Requirements

4-5 years QA testing with at least 3+ years in API Test Automation Engineering with hands-on experience in creating and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
Proficiency in Python (3-5+ years) or another object-oriented programming language, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
Experience in writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
Exceptional debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical abilities to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a collaborative engineering environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in an Agile development environment or familiarity with data warehousing or data pipelines
Knowledge of additional testing frameworks or tools.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools like, GitHub Actions, or similar.
Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS

Responsibilities

Actively participate in the development lifecycle by proactively digging into codebases and functionality.
Build out robust testing frameworks and share technical skills that enhance the entire team's ability to validate changes and implement automated tests for new features from the ground up.
Update and fix existing api tests to follow all the backend changes for features.
Updating and maintaining Postman api requests.
Build, enhance, and maintain our test automation framework to ensure comprehensive and efficient testing coverage.
Actively participate in QA, QA Auto and Agile planning meetings to identify optimal test coverage, implement technical solutions, and prioritize improvements for automation and testing processes.
Leverage tools and technologies like Python, Pytest, PyCharm, Postman, Datadog, Mailosaur, GitHub, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines to maintain, develop, and enhance test automation projects and documentation.
Engineer complex SQL scripts to meet project requirements while leveraging AI to build and optimize automation tests that align with the team's evolving needs.
Balance the ability to engineer sophisticated QAA solutions with a willingness to step in for manual QA.
Manually vet features to identify high-impact automation opportunities while ensuring the team maintains total quality coverage across the board.
