Senior Python Developer, AWS Serverless

About The Position

At Peregrine Advisors, you will own the technical design and delivery of a defined application or solution area. But we hire people, not seats. As the work evolves, you will learn new systems and tools, take on greater responsibility, and help develop the firm's capabilities, tools, and lines of business. We move our best to where the hardest problems are. This is a full-time W-2 position with a salary of $150,000 to $170,000 per year. It is a hybrid work arrangement based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and the commuting cadence varies by assignment. The initial engagement requires United States citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust determination. We are a data and technology innovation hub and a Benefit Corporation working at the center of the federal government's mission to deliver for client stakeholders and the US public. Your first project will likely have you making the design decisions that connect a solution's components and carrying the result through production. Depending on the assignment, you may: Design how the components of an application or solution area fit together, then guide their implementation. Build cloud-native systems whose automated operation replaces manual process. Build and maintain the delivery path itself, the pipelines and automated tests, rather than merely using them. Set the pattern for development assisted by artificial intelligence (AI), including tools such as Amazon Q Developer. You deliver an integrated solution whose parts work together and hold one quality bar. You automate the validations and workflows that used to live in a spreadsheet, and you build the developers around you through the way you work. This is where you start, not the shape of your career here.
