About The Position

At Peregrine Advisors, you will own the technical design and delivery of a defined application or solution area. As the work evolves, you will learn new systems and tools, take on greater responsibility, and help develop the firm's capabilities, tools, and lines of business. This is a full-time W-2 position with a salary of $150,000 to $170,000 per year. It is a hybrid work arrangement based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The initial engagement requires United States citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust determination. Peregrine Advisors is a data and technology innovation hub and a Benefit Corporation working at the center of the federal government's mission to deliver for client stakeholders and the US public. Your first project will likely have you making the design decisions that connect a solution's components and carrying the result through production. You deliver an integrated solution whose parts work together and hold one quality bar. You automate the validations and workflows that used to live in a spreadsheet, and you build the developers around you through the way you work.

Requirements

• At least seven years of software development experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Expert-level command of Python
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud-native development on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Proficiency with modern languages and frameworks, and with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
• Experience with automated testing and secure coding
• Ability to own the technical design and delivery of an application or solution area, including component design, integration, and delivery through production.
• Basic proficiency in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel
• United States citizenship
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination

Nice To Haves

• An Amazon Web Services certification
• Serverless and event-driven development experience

• Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tooling
