About The Position
Bright Vision Technologies is a technology consulting and software development company delivering cloud, AI, data, and enterprise solutions across the United States. The Senior Python Developer is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing, building, and continuously enhancing complex enterprise-grade applications, data-intensive services, and automation platforms. The role delivers robust, secure, high-performance Python systems for distributed and mission-critical production environments and collaborates with product, data, and infrastructure teams to turn business problems into technical solutions. The developer will apply deep Python expertise and strong software architecture, data engineering, and operational support fundamentals. The role includes resolving complex issues, improving engineering practices, and supporting reliable production operations. This is a 100% remote, full-time, direct W2 position in the United States, with an annual salary range of $100,000–$160,000. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Ten or more years of applied Python development experience in enterprise-grade environments.
- Strong experience building and maintaining large-scale production applications with significant uptime and reliability requirements.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Sybase, including query tuning and schema design.
- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, build, test, release, and ongoing support.
- Hands-on experience across system design, application development, automated testing, and operational support.
- Strong working knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and computational efficiency, with the ability to make sound design trade-offs.
- Experience debugging and maintaining complex enterprise-level applications in production.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD practices, application resiliency patterns, and secure coding standards.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in dynamic, fast-changing environments while keeping stakeholders informed.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience collaborating with technical and business teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and provide advanced technical troubleshooting for complex enterprise-grade Python applications.
- Write secure, high-quality, production-ready Python code and implement algorithms for distributed systems, accounting for concurrency, fault tolerance, and observability.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts and ensure development adheres to design constraints, performance requirements, and enterprise standards.
- Develop and optimize data processing logic for large-scale datasets, including extraction, transformation, validation, deduplication, enrichment, and performance tuning for batch and near-real-time workloads.
- Analyze diverse datasets to support continuous improvement and identify insights that improve products, reliability, or cost.
- Develop reporting mechanisms, dashboards, and data visualizations to support operational insights when required.
- Identify defects, performance bottlenecks, and architectural weaknesses, and improve coding standards, reliability, and maintainability.
- Contribute to engineering best practices, conduct peer code reviews, participate in architectural discussions, and mentor less-senior engineers.
- Participate in Agile development and CI/CD processes, supporting stable and frequent deployments with appropriate testing, rollback, and monitoring strategies.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, operations engineers, and business analysts to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Support operational stability through incident response, debugging, log analysis, and post-incident reviews, and contribute preventative measures.
