About The Position

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Senior Python Developer to design, build, and continuously improve complex enterprise-grade applications, data-intensive services, and automation platforms. This hands-on engineering role focuses on robust, secure, high-performance Python systems operating reliably in distributed, mission-critical production environments. The developer will apply deep Python expertise alongside software architecture, data engineering, and operational support skills, partnering with product, data, and infrastructure teams to turn ambiguous business problems into well-engineered solutions. The role also calls for identifying root causes of complex issues and raising engineering standards across the team. This is a full-time, direct W2 position that is 100% remote within the United States. The stated annual salary range is $100,000–$160,000. The employer cannot sponsor new H-1B visa petitions; U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Ten or more years of applied Python development experience in enterprise-grade environments.
  • Experience building and maintaining large-scale production applications with significant uptime and reliability requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Sybase, including query tuning and schema design.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, build, test, release, and ongoing support.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, automated testing, and operational support.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and computational efficiency, with the ability to make sound design trade-offs.
  • Experience debugging and maintaining complex enterprise-level applications in production.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD practices, application resiliency patterns, and secure coding standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in dynamic environments and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience working with technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and provide advanced technical troubleshooting for complex enterprise-grade Python applications, including novel and non-trivial problems.
  • Write secure, high-quality, production-ready Python code and implement algorithms suitable for distributed systems, accounting for concurrency, fault tolerance, and observability.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts and ensure development adheres to design constraints, performance requirements, and enterprise standards.
  • Develop and optimize data-processing logic for large datasets, including extraction, transformation, validation, deduplication, enrichment, and performance tuning for batch and near-real-time workloads.
  • Analyze large and diverse datasets to support continuous improvement and identify insights that improve products, reliability, or cost.
  • Develop reporting mechanisms, dashboards, and data visualizations to support operational insights, using tools appropriate to the audience.
  • Identify defects, performance bottlenecks, and architectural weaknesses, and improve coding standards, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Contribute to engineering best practices, conduct peer code reviews, participate in architecture discussions, and mentor less-senior engineers.
  • Participate in Agile development and CI/CD processes, supporting stable, frequent deployments with testing, rollback, and monitoring strategies.
  • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, operations engineers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and develop scalable solutions.
  • Support operational stability through incident response, debugging, log analysis, post-incident reviews, and actionable preventative measures.
