About The Position

Aretum is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Python Developer. As a Senior Python Developer, you will assist in leading the integration of a custom application with other client based systems. Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of solid Python development experience
  • 8+ years of overall (OOP) programming experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or 2 additional years of experience)
  • API development and integration experience
  • Experience with Microservices
  • Experience with JavaScript and JQuery
  • Experience with Search engines, such as Solr or Elasticsearch
  • Experience designing and developing enterprise Web and Search systems
  • Experience with enterprise database technologies, such as Postgres and MySQL
  • Experience building and managing container technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Comfortable with working with open source-based solutions
  • Familiar with enterprise use of Python
  • Expert in continuous integration/continuous delivery solutions
  • Experience with large-scale AWS based solutions and Terraform
  • Agile environment experience
  • U.S. citizens or currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination, depending on the agency’s background investigation requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering or related field
  • Experience with the federal government
  • Experience with FastAPIs (Highly preferred)
