About The Position

Aretum is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Python Developer to assist in leading the integration of a custom application with other client-based systems. This is a contingent position, meaning employment is dependent upon the successful award of the associated contract to Aretum and completion of any required background investigation or security clearance verification. Due to the nature of their work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of solid Python development experience
• 8+ years of overall (OOP) programming experience
• Bachelor’s Degree (or 2 additional years of experience)
• API development and integration experience
• Experience with Microservices
• Experience with JavaScript and JQuery
• Experience with Search engines, such as Solr or Elasticsearch
• Experience designing and developing enterprise Web and Search systems
• Experience with enterprise database technologies, such as Postgres and MySQL
• Experience building and managing container technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, etc.
• Comfortable with working with open source-based solutions
• Familiar with enterprise use of Python
• Expert in continuous integration/continuous delivery solutions
• Experience with large-scale AWS based solutions and Terraform
• Agile environment experience
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens or currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering or related field
• Experience with the federal government
• Experience with FastAPIs (Highly preferred)
