About The Position

Performs advanced support duties related to monthly reporting, supplier communication for price accuracy and timely delivery, and supports Specialists with Request for Quote (RFQ) distribution and tracking. Assists with procuring and sourcing parts and services for the maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) of assigned company locations or product lines. Processes MRO purchase orders, improves internal processes and documentation for efficiency, and works with internal departments and external suppliers to address outstanding issues. Reviews quotations and evaluates suppliers, conducts general administrative duties for the purchasing group, assists with contract development and execution, and supports value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) projects. Identifies and analyzes cost savings and negotiates price reductions. Additional responsibilities include new supplier setup in JDE, CIGMA, and ORACLE, maintaining DENSO to DENSO pricing with Business Planning support, and occasionally supporting mass price uploads and supplier communications.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Knowledge of Purchasing procedures and terms
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Intermediate level of experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to collect and summarize data
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to calculate mathematical figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
