This position is responsible for certifying clients for participation in the WIC Program in accordance with State WIC office policies and regulations. The role involves providing nutrition education to low, high, and medically high-risk clients in the Ocala Clinic, with potential travel to outlying clinics. The nutritionist will provide assessment, nutrition education, counseling, and breastfeeding support, assisting clients in goal setting and evaluating progress. Documentation of care includes referrals, care plans using SOAP format, and provider signatures in FL Wise. The position also requires accurate completion of reports and data entry into EARS, HMS, People First, and FL Wise System by deadlines, adhering to manual and policy guidelines. Services must be provided efficiently to ensure smooth clinic flow and equitable caseload distribution. The role includes following established sanitation, safety, computer, and phone use policies, as well as attending staff meetings and professional development activities, including required state and WIC trainings. Participation in in-service trainings, bulletin board displays, and other assigned activities is expected. The role may involve presenting nutrition programs to healthcare professionals and community organizations.
