This full-time, night shift position involves three 12-hour shifts per week, with weekend and holiday requirements. The Senior Psychiatric Technician (BERT) will serve as the team lead for all BERT activations, assist in identifying and rounding on high-risk patients, and audit the patient care environment for compliance with safety checklists and the Blue Star designation for Risk for Harm patients. This role is crucial in mitigating the risk of Workplace Violence Events by tracking high-risk patients, IVC patients, and those requiring safety observers. The technician will conduct rapid behavioral assessments, lead de-escalation efforts, collaborate with providers on critical decisions, and provide real-time support and education to teammates to ensure patient and teammate safety. Additionally, the role includes leading post-event debriefs, completing documentation, and following up with teammates after Workplace Violence events to offer support and resources.
