  • Demonstrated experience recruiting physicians (MD/DO), NPs, PAs, and RNs.
  • Working knowledge of provider credentialing, licensure timelines, DEA registration, and regulatory considerations that impact time-to-start.
  • Proficiency with ATS platforms and sourcing tools including LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and physician-specific job boards (PracticeLink, DocCafe, NEJM CareerCenter, or similar).
  • Working knowledge of EEO, OFCCP, and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience recruiting for FQHCs, community health centers, or safety-net providers.
  • Familiarity with NHSC, state loan repayment programs, and other provider recruitment incentive programs.
  • Experience with employer branding, recruitment marketing, and career site strategy.
  • Experience partnering on provider compensation modeling and offer negotiation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary recruiter for physicians (MD/DO), nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and registered nurses.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies leveraging physician-specific job boards, professional associations, residency program outreach, direct outreach, and referral networks.
  • Screen and evaluate provider candidates on clinical fit, licensure and credentialing readiness, cultural alignment, and retention potential.
  • Partner with hiring managers, the Chief Medical Officer, and clinical leaders to define role requirements, compensation ranges, and interview processes.
  • Coordinate provider interview logistics including panel scheduling, site visits, and candidate travel.
  • Manage the offer process in partnership with HR, Finance, and hiring leaders, ensuring competitive and compliant compensation packages.
  • Facilitate the transition from offer acceptance to pre-onboarding, partnering with credentialing, licensure, and payer enrollment teams to minimize time-to-start.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned requisitions across clinical, administrative, and support functions.
  • Post positions to Thundermist’s ATS and external job boards; maintain accurate, engaging, and compliant postings.
  • Source passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searches, and ongoing network development.
  • Screen resumes, conduct phone screens, and present qualified shortlists to hiring managers.
  • Extend offers, negotiate compensation, and close candidates in partnership with HR and hiring managers.
  • Maintain healthy candidate pipelines for hard-to-fill provider and specialty roles through proactive sourcing and relationship-building.
  • Track and monitor key recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, source of hire, offer acceptance rate, and requisition aging.
  • Build and sustain consultative relationships with hiring managers; conduct kickoff meetings and coach on interview best practices.
  • Partner with Marketing on employer branding, recruitment campaigns, career site content, and social media presence.
  • Generate and analyze recruiting reports; use data to identify trends, sourcing effectiveness, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Represent Thundermist at career fairs, residency program events, professional conferences, and community recruiting events.
