Job Summary: The Senior Property Manager (SrPM) will be responsible for oversight of a portfolio of commercial/industrial/office properties and may, under the guidance of a Senior Portfolio Manager (SPM), direct the strategy and team responsible for oversight of a portfolio of commercial/industrial/office properties. This team may include Property Managers with corporate support from accounting, compliance, lease administration, and operations. You will report directly to the Senior Portfolio Manager (SPM) and actively participate in the overall budgeting process and required ongoing financial analysis and reporting. You will provide operational expertise, insight, knowledge, and vigilance to meet the ownership/client’s financial and operational goals and objectives. Primary responsibilities will be to improve the bottom-line P&L performance of the portfolio with consistent quality communications to clients and team members. Strengths in leadership, oral and written communications, organizational planning, financial analysis, and reporting will be key determinants of this hire.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of commercial real estate experience, including property management, leasing, finance, or asset management (industrial experience preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage a portfolio of commercial real estate assets and lead property management teams.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, facilities operations, and property maintenance.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including budgeting and performance analysis.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-related property management software.
  • Prolonged periods working at a desk and on a computer.
  • Ability to walk through commercial and industrial properties, including working outdoors in varying weather conditions and occasionally climbing stairs or ladders.
  • Ability to travel regionally or nationally as required by the assigned portfolio (up to approximately 25%).

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for a portfolio of commercial real estate assets, driving operational excellence and long-term value creation.
  • Lead financial planning for the portfolio, including annual operating budgets, capital planning, and ongoing forecasting.
  • Analyze asset and portfolio performance to identify opportunities that enhance value, optimize operations, and support investment strategy.
  • Partner with ownership and senior leadership to communicate portfolio performance, asset positioning, and key initiatives, including leasing, capital improvements, and major projects.
  • Oversee property operations to ensure assets are maintained to a first-class standard, including vendor management, risk management, and tenant satisfaction.
  • Lead and develop property management teams by providing coaching, guidance, and performance management to support strong operational results.
  • Support and execute major portfolio initiatives, including acquisitions, dispositions, refinancings, capital investments, and strategic leasing efforts.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key tenants, partners, and community stakeholders to support long-term asset success and portfolio growth.
