About The Position

JLL is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to drive financial excellence across our property portfolio. In this pivotal role, you'll take ownership of monthly accounting activities, capital budget tracking, and financial reporting for assigned properties. You'll collaborate with diverse stakeholders to establish budgets, analyze variances, and ensure audit readiness while contributing to process improvements and strategic initiatives. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or equivalent
  • Three to five years of experience in general accounting
  • Professional designation (CPA) obtained or in progress
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholders
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret and organize complex financial information

  • Experience in real estate accounting

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly and year-end reconciliations, accruals, and adjustment entries to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Issue common area certificates and annual financial statements while preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for partners
  • Develop operating budgets and forecasts, track capital budgets, and monitor projects to support strategic planning
  • Analyze monthly budget variances and calculate depreciation costs to provide financial insights
  • Prepare documentation for year-end audits by external auditors and participate in financial controls reviews
  • Liaise with joint owners, operations teams, treasury, property services, and property financial administration
  • Prepare GST/QST-related filing documents and recommend improvements to assigned processes and analysis
