About The Position

Caddell Construction is seeking a Senior Project Superintendent with experience in Mission Critical/Data Centers to oversee projects in Central Ohio and potentially other domestic locations in the future. Resumes are reviewed and staffed based on project needs. This role is responsible for the timely and cost-effective execution of contracted work in the field, supervising subcontractors and craft workers to ensure efficiency, profitability, adherence to contract documents, safety, and schedule adherence. The Senior Project Superintendent will manage all onsite construction efforts, ensuring projects are built safely, according to design, budget, and schedule. This includes interfacing with clients, owners, representatives, and subcontractors, as well as planning, coordinating, and supervising onsite functions such as scheduling, engineering, and material control. The role also involves managing craft employees and subcontractors, including hiring, placement, and training, conducting weekly subcontractor meetings, managing self-performed and subcontracted work for quality and schedule integrity, and responsible for weekly labor cost reporting. The individual will assume responsibility for craft productivity, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance, with a strong emphasis on planning and executing all work safely. Additional assignments may be performed as directed by a supervisor.

Requirements

High School or GED
10 years construction experience
5 years Superintendent experience on similar projects
Strong leadership skills
Good written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

Four-year degree in Building Science, Construction Management or Engineering

Responsibilities

Responsible for the timely, cost-effective placement of the entire project's contracted work in the field.
Supervises sub-contractors and craft workers and ensures that work is performed efficiently, profitably, by contract documents, safely, and on schedule for the Commercial Business Unit.
Supervises total construction efforts to ensure the project is constructed safely by design, budget, and schedule.
Interfaces with client/owner representative, AE representative, subcontractors, etc.
Plans, coordinates, and supervises onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control).
Provides day-to-day coordination with onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc., as required.
Supervises craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract.
Responsible for craft hiring, placement, and training.
Conducts weekly subcontractor meetings to review progress and plan work.
Manages all self-performed and subcontracted work to ensure quality and schedule integrity of all work in progress.
Responsible for weekly labor cost reporting.
Assumes responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
Plans, coordinates, and performs all work to ensure safety.
Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
