About The Position

The Senior Project Superintendent is responsible for profitable field operations on complex, large projects. This role establishes the jobsite safety culture and works closely with the Project Manager to manage schedule, budget, and staff toward profitable outcomes. The Senior Project Superintendent also builds and maintains effective relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors. The position typically reports to the most senior Project Manager on the job. Power Generation experience is required. The successful candidate must be willing to travel nationally or relocate based on business and project needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• At least eight years of extensive field and project construction management experience.
• Power Generation experience required.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven history of successfully leading others and teaching, developing, and mentoring them.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• Communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Time-management and project-organization skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Apple products, including iPhone and iPad, and ability to learn specific software.
• Willingness to travel nationally or relocate based on business and project needs.

Nice To Haves

• Industry-related college degree.
• Industrial experience.
• Experience with Procore, JDE, and Asta.

Responsibilities

• Construct projects in accordance with plans, schedules, specifications, and standards.
• Lead subcontractors and field employees on the jobsite.
• Lead project safety in accordance with the Company's Safety Policy.
• Work with Project Manager(s) to manage project schedules, budgets, and staff.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using scheduling software and prepare two-week look-ahead schedules.
• Assist with the buyout and selection of major subcontractors.
• Recommend ways to reduce costs, improve schedule dates, decrease project scope, and improve project quality.
• Ensure project documents are accurate, timely, and compliant, including closeout documents, submittals, and daily logs.
• Review and enforce all contract terms and obligations.
• Adhere to company policies, standards, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
