About The Position

Brookwood Group is seeking experienced owner's representatives and program managers with expertise in hospitals, medical centers, and healthcare facilities who are interested in working on a flexible, contract basis. This role offers the flexibility to take on specific projects or provide part-time support while leveraging Brookwood's resources, reputation, and technology platform. Candidates from any U.S. location are welcome, provided they are willing to travel to project sites as assignments require. This position is ideal for individuals who are semi-retired, running their own practice, or seeking project-based work that fits their schedule.

Requirements

  • 15+ years in construction project management, program management, or owner's representation.
  • Demonstrated track record managing healthcare construction projects.
  • Strong working relationships with health system executives, hospital administrators, and healthcare facility directors.
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as assignments require.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Deep experience in hospitals, medical centers, and healthcare facilities.
  • CCM, PMP, PE, RA, or LEED AP certification.
  • Experience with infection control risk assessments (ICRA), interim life safety measures (ILSM), and healthcare-specific commissioning requirements
  • Existing client relationships that could benefit from Brookwood's platform.

Responsibilities

  • Provide owner's representation on hospital construction, medical office buildings, ambulatory care centers, clinical renovations, and healthcare campus expansions on a project-by-project or part-time basis.
  • Serve as the owner's trusted advisor on budget, schedule, quality, and risk management.
  • Navigate state healthcare facility licensing requirements, CMS Conditions of Participation, Joint Commission standards, and local AHJ compliance.
  • Support business development efforts and client relationship development as needed.
  • Mentor junior staff and share institutional knowledge.
  • Coordinate with Brookwood leadership on project staffing and resource needs.
