About The Position

With significant management expertise, support complex professional assignments involving planning and policy, program development and implementation, data analysis, research, and stakeholder engagement related to improving the accessibility of rural health care services for individuals with disabilities of all types in Rhode Island. Such responsibilities shall be executed in support of the objectives and related health and human services programs with a specific focus on rural health, disability management, and comprehensive home and community-based services.

Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of the best practices for rural area community engagement.
  • Consistent work with individuals with lived experience in partnership roles.
  • Excellent organizational, writing, public speaking, presentation, facilitation, research, and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough understanding of the key stakeholders in health system disability community, including state agencies, healthcare providers, community-based organizations, advocates, and others across systems of care and populations served.
  • Knowledge of the factors that limit access to health services and adversely impact health outcomes of rural Rhode Islanders with disabilities or willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of health program implementation, including policy and planning, program administration, research, data analytics, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Highly organized and able to manage competing priorities.
