The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for planning all phases of the engineering and construction project lifecycle, from order intake to payment received. This role involves leading project meetings, creating detailed schedules, managing project forecasts, and implementing change management protocols. The Senior Project Manager will monitor resource utilization, manage permit coordinators, and communicate professionally with clients and stakeholders. This position requires clearing roadblocks for various teams, collaborating with engineering and construction managers, and providing weekly updates on project financial health. The role also involves meeting with Jurisdictions Having Authority (JHAs) to ensure compliance with codes and regulations, coaching and mentoring team members, and conducting performance management when necessary. Escalation of internal challenges, daily timesheet submission, and involvement in hiring decisions for project coordinators and project managers are also key responsibilities. The Senior Project Manager must stay current with scope changes, manage change orders, and come well-prepared for client and leadership meetings. A focus on high-level customer interaction, collaboration with the Construction Support team, and contributing to the development of best practices for project management are essential. This role will also work with leadership to present proposed changes to PM practices and standards for buy-in and implement approved process changes across the organization.
