About The Position

Verdantas is hiring a Senior Project Manager for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The role may be performed remotely or from a Verdantas office, and candidates across the Midwest Region are welcome. The position leads projects from concept through construction, including treatment plants and water distribution and wastewater collection systems, delivering infrastructure that supports public health, sustainability, and community resilience. The role provides technical leadership and mentorship, coordinates multidisciplinary teams, works with CAD teams, and supports client relationships and business development.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
At least 6 years of experience in water/wastewater design and project leadership.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio.
Experience working with municipal and/or private clients.
Knowledge of state and federal funding programs and project financing.
Strong understanding of permitting and regulatory requirements.
Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality work.
Deep technical expertise and interest in solving complex infrastructure challenges.

Responsibilities

Plan and design water, wastewater, treatment, distribution, and collection system projects.
Manage project scope, schedule, and budgets.
Prepare and oversee the development of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and schedules.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering and technical staff.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Partner with CAD teams to develop designs.
Interface with regulatory agencies and navigate permitting requirements.
Support business development, including proposals and client pursuits.
Build relationships with municipal and private sector clients.
