About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Project Manager to join our Business Development team, helping to drive our expansion on EXP recruiting and onboarding, practice acquisition, succession, and M&A. This role is critical in driving our most important strategic initiatives from concept to execution. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and excels at cross-functional collaboration. This position offers a flexible work schedule: it may be fully remote/hybrid. If you are located near one of our offices (e.g., Charlotte, NC; New York, NY; Syracuse, NY), a hybrid schedule with 2–3 days on-site per week is expected to foster collaboration and connection.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required.
7 to 10+ years of project or program management experience, ideally in the business development or corporate strategy space.
Ability to drive and execute high-level initiatives.
Proven ability to manage complex, multi-departmental projects with a track record of successful outcomes.
Extensive experience working with large companies on strategic projects under tight deadlines.
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
Agile Project Management: Knowledge of effective agile project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Knowledge of collaborative techniques and approaches; ability to promote a culture of continuous improvement and working together across functions to solve business problems and meet business goals.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

Nice To Haves

PMP or similar certification is a plus.
Experience in high-growth or transformation environments.
Background in consulting, investment banking, corporate development, or strategic planning is a bonus.

Responsibilities

Lead Strategic Initiatives: Take ownership of high-impact business development projects, leading them from ideation through to implementation and delivery.
Project Execution: Develop and manage project timelines, deliverables, and success metrics to ensure on-time and on-budget execution of initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the organization—such as Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations, Product, and Legal—to align efforts, uncover dependencies, and ensure unified execution.
Program Design & Overview: Build comprehensive project and program overviews, including business cases, implementation roadmaps, resource plans, and risk assessments.
Leadership & Influence: Act as a central driver of progress, removing roadblocks, managing stakeholders, and maintaining accountability without direct authority.
Executive Communication: Prepare and present concise updates, strategic briefings, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Continuous Improvement: Analyze past project performance and identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, scalability, and execution quality.
