The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading JMT’s high-dollar, complex projects, ensuring high-quality delivery by managing scope, schedule, and budget. This role involves identifying leads and marketing efforts in targeted growth areas, providing guidance and mentorship, and ensuring projects align with JMT's organizational goals.

  • Developing project specific project plans, Project Management Plans/quality management plan.
  • Creating and maintaining project schedules.
  • Managing subconsultants.
  • Monitoring and executing project progress, including identifying and mitigating risks, developing extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals.
  • Communicating project status, updates, and issues to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participating in office’s project financial status meetings.
  • Building relationships with client(s) to understand preferences and requirements to set-up and execute a quality project.
  • Preparing progress reports and reviewing invoices.
  • Developing and leading project status and presentations.
  • Assisting Section Heads, Office Leaders, and Practice Leaders with the marketing process including, SMART Go/No Go decisions, proposal development, interviews, and developing a win strategy.
  • Collaborating with Section Head and Office Leader on identifying leads and opportunities based on strategic goals.
  • Assisting Section Head and Office Leader with developing strategic goals based on client's program information, etc.
  • Developing and maintaining a strong network of clients and other industry stakeholders.
  • Coordinating and guiding all technical resources within the project team to ensure the delivery of a high-quality outcome.
  • Leveraging advanced knowledge and experience with the client and project type to analyze the project, anticipate potential risks (such as overruns and scope changes), and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Implementing strategies for project tracking and reporting by using project performance metrics to foresee and mitigate issues.
  • Providing coaching and mentorship to the project team through one-on-one check-in meetings and various project debriefs to acknowledge achievements, identify areas for improvement, and share lessons learned.
  • Leading and managing team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management (setting expectations, goals, feedback, 1:1 meeting, coaching) that supports the growth and development of team.
