About The Position

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Washington, D.C. area with over 10 years of experience in construction observation and materials testing. This role involves managing current staff and projects, contributing to the growth of the D.C. office, and taking on both project management and office leadership responsibilities. Duties include hiring, training, mentoring, developing staff, preparing and reviewing proposals, managing budgets, monitoring collections, and ensuring project profitability. This is a leadership opportunity with potential for future ownership in the firm.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in construction observation and materials testing
  • Extensive experience with construction materials testing and/or construction observation
  • Experience with testing and inspection of soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregates, and structural steel
  • Experience preparing and/or reviewing field and final reports
  • Experience coordinating and managing COT/CMT projects
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing technical staff

Nice To Haves

  • NICET, WACEL, ICC, and/or ACI certifications preferred
  • Experience developing and maintaining client relationships and identifying new business opportunities preferred

Responsibilities
