About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team in Atlanta, GA. This role involves leading project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, independently managing project scope, schedule, and budget, and developing comprehensive Project Management Plans. The Senior Project Manager will oversee all financial aspects of the project, approve invoices, identify and manage budget variances, and communicate financial performance to senior management. They will also serve as the primary client contact, lead contract negotiations, represent the firm and client at public hearings and regulatory meetings, lead multi-disciplinary project teams, mentor junior project managers, and identify new business opportunities and participate in proposals.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree is required.
10+ years professional experience.
5-8 years of direct project management experience.
PMP certification or equivalent is required or must be obtained within one year of appointment.

Responsibilities

Leads the project team in executing all phases of the project lifecycle.
Independently develops and manages project scope, schedule, and budget.
Develops and implements comprehensive Project Management Plans.
Manages all financial aspects of the project.
Approves subconsultant and vendor invoices.
Proactively identifies and manages budget variances and communicates financial performance to senior management.
Serves as the primary point of contact for the client.
Leads contract negotiations.
Represents the firm and client at public hearings and regulatory meetings.
Leads and directs multi-disciplinary project teams.
Mentors Project Managers and Associate PMs.
Identifies new business opportunities and participates in proposals.
