About The Position

Worldwide Clinical Trials is a global, midsize CRO seeking a Senior Project Manager (SPM) to join their Project Management department. This role is responsible for the overall coordination and management of clinical trials from start-up through closeout activities. The SPM will direct the technical, financial, and operational aspects of projects to ensure successful completion. They will collaborate with major functional area leads to identify and evaluate issues, interpret complex data, make business decisions, and ensure solutions are implemented. The SPM, with support from Project Management Directors and collaboration with other functional area leads, is accountable for ensuring all project deliverables meet customer/contract expectations. The Project Management team at Worldwide blends operational rigor with therapeutic expertise and a client-focused approach, with Global Project Leads (GPLs) and Clinical Project Managers (CPMs) guiding project teams to deliver high quality results. SPMs are dedicated to a specific therapeutic area, allowing for in-depth global operational expertise and the benefit of exceptional scientific and medical backgrounds.

Requirements

  • Communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively perform in demanding situations.
  • Thorough knowledge of project management processes.
  • Solid understanding of how to craft and manage a project budget.
  • Demonstrated experience of successfully managing and/or leading multidisciplinary project teams.
  • 6-7 years' industry experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a Clinical Project Management role within a CRO setting.
  • CNS experience in a PM role is required.
  • University/College degree, within Life Science is preferred.
  • Ability to travel when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Overall coordination and management of clinical trials from start-up through closeout activities.
  • Directs the technical, financial and operational aspects of the projects, securing the successful completion of clinical trials.
  • Works with major functional area leads to identify and evaluate fundamental issues on the project.
  • Interprets data on complex issues and makes good business decisions.
  • Ensures solutions are implemented.
  • Works to ensure that all project deliverables meet the customer’s time/quality/cost expectations.
  • Accountable for ensuring that all project deliverables meet the customer/contract expectations.
