About The Position

Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team. The ideal individual will have prior experience supporting large-scale construction projects. This role involves managing stakeholders, analyzing project activities, ensuring effective project governance, and monitoring progress across multiple construction projects simultaneously. The Senior Project Manager will also manage the interface between suppliers, facilitate project information flow, forecast milestones, and provide technical support to various stakeholders. Expertise in cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance is also required, along with independent review of project documentation and client management to foster new opportunities. Strategic thinking and knowledge management are key aspects, as is identifying process improvements. SOX control responsibilities may also be part of this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or applicable bachelor’s degree and or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 15 years of project management experience, preferably in Nuclear, Energy, Chemical, Data Center or other highly-regulated Industrial Facilities.
  • PMP certification required.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal oversight.
  • Proven experience managing full project lifecycle ownership with assigned budgets.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budget development and cost control.
  • Direct experience working in highly regulated environments.
  • Superior communication skills, with the ability to converse confidently and professionally with senior project management peers and technical stakeholders.
  • Must be willing and able to work on-site in Eunice, New Mexico.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
  • Willingness to travel or relocate as required (candidates sourced primarily from Houston and Midland).

  • Prior work in nuclear facilities or similarly regulated industrial settings.
  • Experience managing large-scale or high-risk projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage stakeholders including architects, engineers, and supply chains to deliver compliant projects.
  • Analyze, track, and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slips.
  • Verify that effective project governance, processes and systems are utilized.
  • Ensure application of best practice on all projects.
  • Production of formal project status reports and other reports as required.
  • Monitor the progress of multiple construction projects simultaneously to ensure that the approved design standards are applied correctly.
  • Manage the interface between all suppliers through monthly trackers and weekly reviews.
  • Manage the flow of project information between the project team through regular meetings and written communications.
  • Forecast and update key project milestones.
  • Manage and monitor local design teams in accordance with commission criteria.
  • Provide technical support to owners, architects, general contractors and regional stakeholders.
  • Rapid response to RFIs from the field.
  • Provide expertise for cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance where required.
  • Independent review of status reports, drawing submittments, timelines and costs from architects, contractors and suppliers.
  • Client management – assist in developing excellent working relationships with Clients, with a view towards maximizing new opportunities.
  • Strategic Thinking - provides advice to project teams on approaches that can be adopted to successfully achieve both clients’ objectives and business objectives.
  • Knowledge management – ensure that key information and learnings generated from each project are captured.
  • Process improvement – Identify ways to improve internal systems and processes.
