About The Position

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading complex, high-value, or multi-phase construction projects, while also providing strategic oversight, mentorship, and operational leadership across multiple project teams. This role plays a critical part in driving project performance, developing teams, improving systems, and supporting business growth. The Senior Project Manager works closely with executive leadership, clients, and operational teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company objectives. You are an experienced construction leader with a strong track record of delivering complex projects and leading high-performing teams. You bring both technical expertise and strategic thinking, with the ability to see the big picture while managing detailed execution. You are comfortable leading multiple projects, mentoring Project Managers, and contributing to continuous improvement, systems development, and operational excellence.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in civil construction project management
Proven experience managing large-scale or multiple concurrent projects
Strong background in cost control, contract management, and scheduling
Experience leading and mentoring project teams
Strong leadership and team development capabilities
Strategic thinking with strong operational execution
Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management
High level of accountability and ownership
Ability to manage complexity and shifting priorities
Lead and promote Safety. No Excuses. culture across all teams
Ensure adherence to all safety standards and regulations
Participate in and enforce safety programs and initiatives

Nice To Haves

Degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred
PMP or equivalent designation strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Lead multiple or large-scale construction projects from planning through completion
Oversee project teams to ensure alignment with budget, schedule, safety, and quality targets
Provide guidance and oversight to Project Managers and field teams
Support high-level project planning, risk management, and execution strategy
Monitor and manage project financial performance, including forecasting and cost control
Review project KPIs and performance metrics across multiple projects
Identify risks and implement strategies to protect project profitability
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
Act as a senior point of contact for project-related matters
Support contract negotiations and major change orders
Mentor and coach Project Managers and project teams
Support workforce planning and resource allocation across projects
Promote a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement
Contribute to improving project management systems, reporting, and workflows
Support implementation of KPIs, dashboards, and performance tracking tools
Identify opportunities to leverage technology and improve operational efficiency
Champion company safety culture across all projects
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company safety requirements
Participate in and enforce safety programs and initiatives
