About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Community Programs, the Senior Project Manager Wards 2 and 3 serves as the DACL Project Manager and provides direct support to the Director of Community Programs, who serves as the DACL Project Director. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for ensuring Iona’s Wards 2 and 3 DACL grant-funded lead agency programs are in compliance with grant requirements, meet grant objectives, and remain within budget. The Senior Project Manager coordinates goals and objectives in-line with Iona’s Strategic Plan and DACL Service Standards, ensures adequate progress is made towards their completion, and evaluates outputs and outcomes to provide recommendations for improvement. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for budget management and oversight of the lead agency services. The Senior Project Manager provides management and oversight of Iona’s Wards 2 and 3 Community Dining Sites which are responsible for providing programs and services to engage and educate older adults. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for the timely submission of monthly invoices and liaises with appropriate DACL staff in partnership with Iona staff. This contract runs through September 30, 2026.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2+ years of experience working in aging services, community-based services, or non-profit management.
  • Strong organizational capabilities with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Supervisory and management experience required.
  • Superior quantitative reasoning, data analysis, and program evaluation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse staff, from directors to direct service staff.
  • Advanced computer skills required; experience with Excel, Access, and/or similar programs preferred.
  • Contractor is responsible for all applicable taxes and maintaining appropriate insurance coverage.
  • Must be able to pass a background check prior to engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement training for site staff and volunteers and collaborate with the nutrition team to arrange for food handlers’ certification, CPR and first aid training.
  • Provide supervision to Asbury Dwelling Congregate Dining Site Manager, St. Mary’s Court Congregate Dining Site Manager, James Apartment Congregate Dining Site Manager, Regency House, and Claridge Towers Congregate Dining Site Manager.
  • Provide general oversight of programs to include collaborating with site managers to implement recreation, health promotion, and transportation activities.
  • Support site managers in program planning and calendar development.
  • Ensure intakes and nutrition screening forms are up to date, and in compliance with Department of Aging and Community Living (DACL) grant standards, and evaluation of the programs.
  • Perform Community Dining Site Manager functions when coverage is required.
  • Provide additional support for community dining sites during special events or other situations requiring additional support.
  • Engage with community stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Ensure submission of DACL participant and program data to data team, including intakes and units and participant surveys, ensuring program staff complete all requirements.
  • Complete monthly reports, as well as quarterly missing data reports, and ad-hoc reports as requested by the Director of Community Programs, Iona’s CEO, Development Team or DACL.
  • Develop data dashboard to track grant objectives and present progress to all staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all DACL Grant Policy Manual requirements by working with finance, administration, and program staff.
  • Monitor grant budgets and assist with DACL budget creation, revisions, monitoring, accountability, and monthly invoicing requirements.
  • Actively provide updates on DACL policy changes to Iona staff.
  • Coordinate with program managers, finance, and administrative staff to develop standard operating procedures related to DACL grant guidelines.
  • Create and monitor Iona’s annual DACL Project Plan to ensure all grant requirements are met.
  • Liaise with DACL grant monitors and staff and proactively foster internal/external communications.
  • Monitor DACL’s annual schedule and guide staff to attend DACL functions.
  • Promote communication between Iona’s staff/departments with DACL grant monitors.
