Contractor Project Manager
About The Position
This is a contract position for a Project Manager with a 3-year base term and a potential 2-year extension. The role requires the ability to work onsite in Rancho Cordova, Sacramento, Vacaville, and San Jose, CA. The project involves managing large-scale public sector IT projects with multiple stakeholders and leading teams through the System Development Lifecycle. Experience with IT contracts, requirements, and deliverables is essential. Desirable qualifications include knowledge of Statistical Analysis System (SAS), IBM mainframe operating systems and components, and data center services.
Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) years within the past seven (7) years as primary project manager for large-scale public sector IT projects.
- A minimum of three (3) years within the past seven (7) years managing IT projects with multiple stakeholders.
- A minimum of two (2) years within the past seven (7) years leading teams through System Development Lifecycle.
- Active PMP certification.
- A minimum of two (2) years within the past seven (7) years managing IT contracts valued at $1M+.
- A minimum of three (3) years within the past seven (7) years managing contract requirements and deliverables.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge and experience of Statistical Analysis System (SAS) and SAS MXG (Merrill’s Expanded Guide) used to extract transform and load existing service usage data from source/mainframe systems.
- Knowledge and experience evaluating IBM’s Z/OS mainframe usage data for System Management Facility (SMF), Hardware Security Modules (HSM), Removable Media Manager (RMM) Tape, Direct Access Storage Devices (DASD) and Adaptable Database System (ADABAS).
- Knowledge of IBM mainframe operating systems and components including Job Control Language (JCL) and Tivoli Usage and Accounting Manager (TUAM).
- Knowledge and experience within data center services and related technologies, including networking, telecommunications, cloud computing, and storage solutions.
