About The Position

This is a REMOTE opportunity for candidates geographically located in Southern California. The Senior Project Manager will support the Project Management Office leading both internal and external projects by managing communications and expectations with the customer as well as achieving goals and managing the project budget. The essential functions of this position include overseeing, training, assisting, and developing Project staff; running complex projects/programs from design and development to production; defining requirements and planning project lifecycle deployment; working with Service Directors to define resource requirements and determine schedules for project implementation; creating strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning; planning and scheduling project deliverables, goals, and milestones; directing and overseeing the project engineering team and managing conflicts within the group; performing team assessments and evaluations; facilitating team and client meetings effectively; holding regular status meetings with the project team; demonstrating leadership to define requirements for project risk; working with Presales to develop Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for external services; managing and maintaining technical and project documentation; managing day-to-day operational aspects and scope of projects; reviewing deliverables prepared by the team before passing to the client; effectively applying ePlus methodology and enforcing project standards; minimizing exposure and risk on projects; tracking and reporting team hours and expenses on a weekly basis; managing the project budget; determining appropriate revenue recognition, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and monitoring receivables for the project; following up with clients regarding unpaid invoices, as necessary; analyzing project profitability, revenue, margin, bill rates, and utilization; continually seeking opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships; assuring legal project documents are completed and signed; identifying business development and “add-on” sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project; challenging others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor; and developing lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties. As a manager, you are also expected to lead and guide team members, fostering growth through mentoring, coaching, and development, while ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Promote an environment of inclusivity and respect, valuing diverse perspectives and encouraging open dialogue among all team members. Collaborate on strategic initiatives, leveraging your expertise to drive innovation and positive change within the organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Technology or related field
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of project management or IT Management experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience coordinating and supporting IT business processes
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Expert Knowledge of PMBOK, Six Sigma
  • Professional demeanor and good communication skills
  • Understand revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections; make decisions accordingly

Nice To Haves

  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or other best practices certification is a plus
