About The Position

A well-established general contractor in the Pacific Northwest is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to take on a combination of project leadership and team development responsibilities. This position is ideal for someone who still enjoys being directly involved in construction execution but is also ready to take on broader leadership responsibilities. You’ll oversee your own project while providing guidance and support to other Project Managers across several active jobs. The organization has a strong pipeline of work across the Pacific Northwest and Southeast Alaska and offers meaningful long-term advancement for strong performers.

Requirements

  • Approximately 8–10+ years of commercial construction experience, with significant experience as a Project Manager.
  • Strong background with multifamily or commercial vertical construction.
  • Proven experience taking projects from preconstruction/groundbreaking through final completion.
  • Experience leading other Project Managers, APMs, or Project Engineers while remaining actively involved in project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of construction financials, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and change management.
  • Experience with subcontractor buyout, contract negotiations, procurement, scheduling, and project documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively with both office and field teams.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop less-experienced construction professionals.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a construction project from early planning and preconstruction through turnover and closeout.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and day-to-day support to a small team of Project Managers.
  • Oversee performance across multiple active projects while maintaining direct responsibility for your own.
  • Manage project budgets, cost forecasts, schedules, procurement, and overall financial performance.
  • Lead subcontractor selection, negotiations, scope coordination, and ongoing performance.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, drawings, and other critical project documentation.
  • Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams to solve issues and maintain project momentum.
  • Work directly with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, trade partners, and suppliers.
  • Develop project schedules and proactively identify potential cost, schedule, procurement, or constructability risks.
  • Monitor long-lead materials and ensure procurement aligns with field requirements.
  • Support the development of less-experienced PMs and help strengthen project-management processes.
  • Maintain high standards around safety, quality, accountability, and client satisfaction.
