About The Position

This position will be a key role on the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) team, responsible for supporting the development of SDOH programs and initiatives for Highmark Health. The role will oversee the creation of project plans, ensure adherence to project timelines and deliverables, develop risk mitigation plans, and manage the delivery of complex programs. It involves significant enterprise-wide cross-functional collaboration with teams such as Product and Health Experience, Marketing, and Advanced Analytics, as well as managing inter-dependencies between departments to advance initiatives within scope, quality, time, and budget constraints. A strong understanding of social health needs and the barriers they create for members and patients is beneficial for driving programs and initiatives that aim to break down these barriers and increase activation and engagement opportunities. This role can be hybrid or remote. If located within 50 miles of an office, a hybrid schedule requiring onsite presence three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) is mandatory. Locations outside of 50 miles will be remote.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4 years of experience in a project manager role
  • Experience with customer relationship management
  • Presentation skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Experience with conflict resolution
  • Experience with Risk Mitigation Planning

Responsibilities

  • Work with business and technical organizations to drive out program strategy and approach.
  • Organize, plan, and maintain program roadmaps consisting of cross-functional activities/projects.
  • Work with business and technical organizations to assemble project teams.
  • Lead Project Managers and/or Program teams in the development and maintenance of comprehensive plans for a defined program.
  • Work with the Executive Sponsor and Business Owner of a Program, and other management as required, to achieve the Program objectives.
  • Acquire understanding of the business objectives for an assigned area.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on Program status, including scope, schedule, budget, and alignment to Program and strategic goals.
  • Direct corrective action, as needed, to maintain the viability of the Program.
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Deliver presentations of project status to effectively communicate throughout the project life-cycle.
  • Adhere to the Organization's project management methods, project life-cycle methodologies, and audit requirements.
  • Support and contribute to the improvement of project management methods and practices.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.
