We're looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team, supporting some of the most complex and technically demanding Mission Critical projects in North America, including Data Centres, telecommunications facilities, and other high-availability infrastructure. In this role, you will lead multiple large-scale projects from planning through closeout, ensuring successful delivery of scope, budget, schedule, quality, and client objectives. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, and provide leadership that drives exceptional project outcomes. As a recognized subject matter expert within the organization, you will influence project delivery practices, mentor team members, contribute to business development efforts, and help advance HH Angus’ reputation as a leader in Mission Critical consulting.

Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in engineering consulting, project management, or the AEC industry.
Demonstrated experience leading large, complex Mission Critical projects, including Data Centres, telecommunications facilities, healthcare, or other high-availability infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies, contract administration, and construction processes.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong client relationships.
Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to influence multidisciplinary teams and drive alignment among diverse project stakeholders.
Recognized technical and/or project delivery expertise with a reputation for sound judgment and leadership.
Forward-thinking mindset with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and problem solving.

Nice To Haves

PMP designation considered an asset.
Experience with ERP and project management systems considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Develop project execution plans and manage scope, budget, schedule, risk, and quality for multiple large and complex Mission Critical projects.
Lead the successful delivery of Data Centre and other Mission Critical infrastructure projects through all phases of design and construction.
Ensure ERP systems contain accurate project information, resource forecasts, schedules, and key milestones to support effective project planning and execution.
Maintain regular communication with clients, acting as a trusted advisor while fostering strong, long-term relationships.
Maintain regular engagement with internal project teams to ensure clear roles, responsibilities, accountability, and project alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Leverage a deep understanding of HH Angus’ technical capabilities, resources, and service offerings to guide project strategy and delivery.
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
Work with limited oversight while managing competing priorities and complex stakeholder requirements.
Oversee adherence to HH Angus quality management processes and ensure effective document management and document control practices.
Ensure contract administration functions are properly executed throughout the project lifecycle and lead resolution of complex contractual matters.
Support contract reviews, scope matrix development, and contract negotiations while ensuring project teams remain compliant with contractual obligations.
Guide teams through construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittments, shop drawing reviews, change management, and issue resolution.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project delivery systems, processes, and performance.
Provide guidance, coaching, mentorship, and peer review support to project managers and project coordinators.
Deliver internal training sessions and contribute to the development of project management best practices and standards.
Introduce advanced ideas and innovative solutions that improve project performance and client outcomes.
Effectively engage and influence project team members, technical leaders, and stakeholders to drive successful project execution.
Provide strategic advice on budgets, schedules, scope, and delivery strategies during business development pursuits.
Independently lead small to medium-sized proposals and contribute to larger pursuits by developing project approaches, reviewing submissions, and providing technical and delivery expertise.
Support client relationship management efforts and identify opportunities for future work and service expansion.
Contribute to achieving operational and financial targets that have a significant impact on departmental performance.
Solve difficult and moderately complex project challenges through analytical thinking, collaboration, and innovation.
Make meaningful improvements to processes, systems, and project delivery methodologies that enhance organizational effectiveness.
