Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in managing hazardous building materials, indoor air quality, industrial hygiene, safety and/or multi-media environmental compliance projects.
  • Experience in successful business development, client management, preparing project proposals and budgets and working with internal account teams to grow revenue.
  • Financial management of projects and clients with respect to budgeting, profitability, invoicing and cash management.
  • Strong communication and technical skills both written and oral.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to respond to various schedules and situations related to emergency response scenarios.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, motor vehicle records check and physical.
  • Valid Driver’s License is required.
  • Must be able to commute to project sites as needed.
  • Travel throughout Massachusetts and New England region is expected.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Certified Microbial Consultant (CMC) licenses are preferred but not necessarily required.
  • MADLS Asbestos and Lead Inspector & Project Designer Licenses and/or experience.

Responsibilities

  • Pursuit of new clientele to expand company presence and business development in the greater Boston, Massachusetts and New England marketplaces.
  • Building and maintaining key client relationships to expand services within existing client base.
  • Coordination and interaction with other senior project managers and seller-doers within the EHS practice and SIH unit within MA, NE and nationally.
  • Develop proposals for, implement, manage and direct services related to hazardous building materials (asbestos, lead, PCBs, universal waste) indoor air quality, mold/moisture, industrial hygiene, environmental compliance and safety services.
  • Interaction and facilitation between clients, field staff, contractors and regulatory agencies.
  • Preparation of inspection/assessment reports and abatement/remedial designs.
  • Mentoring and teaching junior field staff
