About The Position

TRC is seeking a Project Manager for its Safety-Industrial Hygiene practice in its Chicago, IL office. This role will involve working on various public and private projects in the Chicagoland area and potentially in adjacent states. Requirements

  • Must be able to read project specifications and drawings.
  • Prior experience in various aspects of abatement projects is required.
  • Must be a good communicator and a team player.
  • Certified Asbestos Inspector, Asbestos project manager and/or Asbestos Project Monitor certifications are required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable means of transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and motor vehicle records check.
  • Requires 5 plus years of experience with hazardous building material and/or industrial hygiene consulting experience.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, and delivery of responsive, high quality building sciences and related industrial hygiene services.
  • Inspection for asbestos, Mold, Lead-based paint, and PCBs.
  • Asbestos abatement oversight for all public, private and city/state clients.
  • Water intrusion investigation and or water leak investigation.
  • Perform project oversight and coordination with contractors.
  • Collect air samples as required by various regulatory agencies.
  • Develop industrial hygiene sampling plans, personal and area sampling and reporting.
  • Prepare project chain of custody.
  • Prepare project daily logs.
  • Interact between client and contractors.
  • Work with regulatory agencies.
  • Read project specifications and drawings
  • Prepare reports.
