About The Position

The Senior Project Manager for Procurement – Advanced Nuclear, has responsibility to provide project management of the procurement and site delivery of advanced nuclear plant components in support of a commercial project. You will work collaboratively with the Project Director for Procurement, the Supply Chain Leaders, and Procurement Engineers to manage Supplier performance to purchase order requirements, cost, and schedule delivering high quality outcomes for a BWRX-300 project. The ideal candidate is a leader with passion for nuclear energy, excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive successful project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Minimum 4 years of professional experience in project management, engineering, or business. OR High School Diploma/GED Minimum 8 years of professional experience in project management, engineering, or business.
  • Eligibility for access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice To Haves

  • BWR Operations/Maintenance experiencing is highly desired.
  • Training development or training program experience is highly desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM.
  • Fundamental-level financial or accounting knowledge.
  • Experience or familiarity with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) designs.
  • Knowledge of the power industry, customer, and competitive environment.
  • Demonstrated ability supporting project budget, schedule, and quality objectives.
  • Financial control knowledge and understanding.
  • Demonstrated professional interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for on-time project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources.
  • Assist Project Director in organizing project cost structure in Oracle ERP.
  • Participate in customer, internal, and/or supplier project kickoff meetings and support the Project Director with preparation & coordination of customer, internal, and/or supplier kickoff meetings.
  • Develop and maintain a project roster including assigning and monitoring timely completion of project related training activities.
  • Develop and issue the Project Management Plan and related project plans and project procedures; facilitate the implementation of project plans and project procedures across the larger project team.
  • Support the development and deployment of project infrastructure and project tools.
  • Ensure compliance with U. S. export control and other requirements as applicable.
  • Support coordination of project activities; monitor and control progress on project deliverables
  • Ensure the conformance of project deliverables with contract and project requirements.
  • Organize and archive project correspondence and records consistent with Project Configuration Management Plan.
  • Lead, draft, and issue project management meeting notes, action item lists, and project progress reports.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.
