About The Position

Border States Paving is a family-owned company seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Estimator to join their Fargo team. This is a key leadership role for a proven heavy civil/asphalt professional who can estimate work accurately, win projects, and lead them through safe, profitable execution. The role involves estimating heavy civil, asphalt paving, grading, and sitework projects, leading projects from bid through completion, and managing budgets, schedules, production, costs, and change orders. The position also requires working closely with various stakeholders, supporting project staff, and ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable project completion.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience in heavy civil, asphalt, grading, sitework, estimating, or project management
• Strong estimating and project management experience
• Heavy highway/DOT experience preferred
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and field operations
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Estimate heavy civil, asphalt paving, grading, and sitework projects
• Lead projects from bid through completion
• Manage budgets, schedules, production, costs, and change orders
• Work closely with owners, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams
• Support and mentor superintendents, foremen, and project staff
• Help improve estimating, planning, cost control, and project performance
• Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably
