About The Position

Turner & Townsend are seeking a Network Owners Rep / Senior Project Manager to work with our Data Center team to support a key client’s retrofit/upgrade program. To be successful in this position you must have great communication skills and be comfortable operating in a client-facing role. On-site presence is required (Monday to Friday). Requirements may change depending on our client's needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience working in a Data Center Network construction delivery role.
  • Business and technical knowledge of networking (Hyperscale preferred)
  • Relevant qualifications e.g Construction Management degree, or BICSI
  • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management and value engineering.
  • Valid US passport with no visa restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide (campus level) liaison to network infrastructure/security-related Owner team’s and end-to-end ownership of all network project deliverables.
  • Communications between Owner and Networking Contractors.
  • Set and manage timelines.
  • Vendor training.
  • Site walks: Construction progress reviews via weekly (at minimum) site walks.
  • Construction quality reviews via weekly site walks.
  • Perform field safety walks and Ensure EH&S compliance.
  • Capture owners needs and expectations, gaining and maintaining stakeholder support, mitigating/channeling opposition.
  • Structured fiber kickoff.
  • BPR/SR review, define priority panels for both OSP and ISP fiber.
  • Schedule review to ensure milestones on checklist are adhered to as well as ensuring structured fiber is complete according to schedules of ancillary systems that require connectivity.
  • Scope development and RFP Issuance.
  • Owner directed procurement- Review materials list and coordinate purchase with project teams.
  • Understand needs for server floor cabling and manage delivery via Network contractors.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
