About The Position

TES Staffing is partnering with a well-established commercial flooring contractor in Rochester, NY, to find a Senior Project Manager. This role will lead multiple high-visibility projects across the Capital and Central New York region. The ideal candidate is an experienced construction professional skilled in managing complex job sites, coordinating stakeholders, and delivering quality results on time and within budget. This position is for a Senior PM who enjoys field work, understands commercial construction, and is ready to take ownership of multi-phase projects.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in commercial construction project management
• Proven track record of managing multiple commercial projects simultaneously
• Strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills
• Experience working with or for general contractors is strongly preferred
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction documents, blueprints, and project specifications
• Skilled in managing budgets, schedules, and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on transparency and accountability
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Capital or Central NY area

• Flooring-specific experience is a plus, not a requirement

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple concurrent commercial flooring projects from inception to completion
• Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors, architects, subcontractors, and clients
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance
• Regularly visit job sites—including hospitals, offices, and other commercial environments—to monitor progress and proactively resolve challenges
• Coordinate material procurement, labor scheduling, and site logistics
• Manage project documentation, RFIs, change orders, and subcontractor performance
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to align project goals and ensure expectations are met
• Drive accountability across job sites to maintain safety, efficiency, and professional standards
• Participate in the sales process with customer outreach and networking
