About The Position

Chemours is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Business Capital Coordinator to join their growing team at the Corpus Christi Plant in Gregory, TX. This role supports the business for end-to-end capital project implementation and project results that achieve business objectives, while complying with standard work practices as defined by the Chemours Project System. The Project Manager works with management, technology, maintenance, and operations to bring maximum value to the business through effective leadership of cost and capital project planning and implementation processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or higher in an engineering or technical discipline.
  • 10 + years of engineering project management experience
  • Self-managing, proactive
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an industrial setting preferred.
  • Experience working in the chemicals industry
  • Experience working in a phase-gate project process

Responsibilities

  • Translating business objectives into the capital project deliverables.
  • Accountable to the business for project success including project cost and investment ensuring all noncapital alternatives to meet the business objectives have been evaluated.
  • Clearly sets overall Project Team direction and expectations.
  • Responsible through the Project Team members for acquiring and releasing project resources as needed during the life of the project.
  • Manages overall project expenditures and schedule to meet business expectations.
  • Provides primary interface between the Project Team and the Business Unit Steering Team.
  • Drives capital project work processes and practices as described in the company’s procedures.
  • Leads all gatekeeping reviews and ensures all Front-end (FEL) deliverables are met including preparing all project-funding documents.
  • Ensures commissioning and turnover plans and operations and maintenance procedures relative to the project are prepared.
  • Collaborate with Construction Leaders, to facilitate the overall process and address design issues that impede construction performance.
