As a Senior Project Installation Manager, you will demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, and project execution excellence. You will oversee the installation, commissioning, and warranty management of turbomachinery equipment at customer sites across North America. You will collaborate across engineering, quality, supply chain, and HSE teams while serving as the primary customer interface during the installation phase. You will drive a culture focused on safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and overall project profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, preferably within installation and commissioning of turbomachinery equipment.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of managing large-scale installation projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Technical knowledge of turbomachinery systems.
  • Team management abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, coordinating, and executing the installation, commissioning, startup, and warranty management of turbomachinery equipment, ensuring projects are being completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while cultivating and driving a culture of execution, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Managing project financial performance, including planning and reporting for assigned projects in terms of costs, revenues, contribution margins, and cash collections.
  • Indirectly leading and mentoring a team of installation technicians and engineers, fostering a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Providing technical support during the installation process and troubleshooting issues as they arise to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for customers during the installation phase, addressing concerns, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and promoting Baker Hughes’ commitment to safety and quality.
  • Ensuring all installation activities are complying with relevant health and safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies, while implementing safety protocols and conducting regular safety training sessions.
  • Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date project documentation, including progress reports, installation records, and as‑built drawings.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices to enhance installation efficiency and overall quality.
  • Regularly communicating project status, key milestones, and critical issues to senior management, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals.
