About the Team: The Grove (Global Gateways & POS) organization is responsible for delivering and evolving many of Elavon's core payment technology platforms that power omni-commerce experiences across North America and Europe. As a member of our Technology Delivery team, you will support a diverse portfolio that includes Commerce SDK, Enterprise Payment Gateway, Elavon Bridge, CenPOS, Simplify, Converge, Opayo, CPI, Fusebox, enabling merchants to accept and manage payments across in-store, online, mobile, and integrated commerce channels. Position Overview: We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Senior Project Group Manager to lead complex initiatives supporting Elavon payment products and technology platforms. This role serves as the bridge between Product, Technology, Operations, and enterprise stakeholders, ensuring business objectives are translated into clear execution strategies that drive successful outcomes. The successful candidate will do more than manage timelines and status reporting—they will define how programs are structured and executed. This includes decomposing business objectives into deliverable workstreams, establishing governance and operating models, identifying dependencies, optimizing delivery approaches, and creating alignment across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • PMI Project Management Professional credential
  • At least 10 years experience with tools and techniques for planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling IT projects.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification heavily preferred.
  • Agile certification (SAFe, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent).
  • 8+ years leading complex technology programs and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, stakeholder management, risk management, and executive communications.
  • Payments, fintech, merchant acquiring, eCommerce, POS, or financial services experience.
  • Experience working within Agile product operating models.
  • Experience delivering complex programs involving multiple development teams and enterprise stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based solutions, APIs, payment gateways, and digital commerce platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of: Program and project management methodologies Agile delivery frameworks Risk and dependency management Executive reporting and governance Cross-functional stakeholder management
  • Tools: Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project

Responsibilities

  • Defining and owning the execution strategy for large-scale payment product and technology initiatives.
  • Partnering with Product Management to understand product vision, roadmaps, customer needs, and business priorities.
  • Collaborating with Engineering, Architecture, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and other enterprise stakeholders to create executable delivery plans.
  • Establishing program structures, communication plans, milestones, dependencies, and success metrics.
  • Continuously optimizing delivery effectiveness by removing friction, managing risks, and improving execution outcomes.
  • Tracking and reporting program status, risks, financial impacts, milestones, and overall health to leadership.
  • Driving Agile delivery practices and fostering transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Creating an environment that empowers and energizes teams and peers through accountability, adaptability, collaboration, and shared ownership.
