We are seeking a driven, senior engineering leader to serve in the capacity of Senior Project Engineer. This leader must possess a deep expertise of and demonstrated track record for results in capital project management and execution. The selected individual in the role of Senior Project Engineer will plan, schedule, forecast, and manage all technical activities of engineering projects. The Senior Project Engineer will have the opportunity to partner with leaders throughout the organization to develop plans and drive initiatives which support business strategies and company growth. Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering field required.
  • 15 or more years of experience in project management, project engineering, or project planning (scope, schedule, cost, quality) with increasing responsibility and budget levels.
  • Experience in capital project management from $50M - $200M.
  • Experience with Project Team Leadership of sizeable teams, mentorship, and development team members.
  • Strong technical aptitude and excellent interpersonal skills to quickly build relationships and facilitate involvement of others to deliver solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills; ability to set direction and execute defined plans on budget and on time.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated high energy level, motivation, and the drive required to proactively lead engineering projects within a dynamic business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and execute engineering projects that lead directly to the profitable growth of Kalmbach Feeds.
  • Lead project team members in the creation of strategic action plans and cost estimates of materials, time, labor, and other resources required to complete the project.
  • Develop scope and parameters for project design and implementation.
  • Identify project responsibilities, delegating phases and elements to the appropriate team members.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable codes, practices, performance standards and specifications.
  • Oversee budgetary, scheduling, and project databases, and report regularly on progress as well as on problems that could significantly affect cost or schedule.
  • Assess the competence, capabilities, resources, and financial status of vendors.
