About The Position

RQ Construction is seeking experienced Senior Construction Project Engineers to join our Field Operations team in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. This role has a strong quality control focus, with opportunities to work alongside and be mentored by our Construction Quality Control Managers (CQCMs) while supporting the project's quality program. Candidates will work on active military construction projects in Aguadilla, with opportunities to support future projects. This is a full-time, on-site position. While local candidates are preferred, relocation assistance or per diem is available for qualified candidates residing outside the area. This position will also work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Site Safety teams to help ensure successful project delivery. Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience and training.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.).
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications required. Training can be provided.
  • English/Spanish bilingual skills required.
  • Provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
  • Successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for).

Nice To Haves

  • Specific software literacy (Primavera 3/6, Oracle, BIM, Revit, ACC) preferred.
  • LEED GA credential desirable.
  • QCM certificate desirable.
  • Previous work experience in the general contracting field preferred.
