About The Position

HNTB is seeking an experienced CEI professional for current and future construction work in Central Florida. FDOT Asphalt, Concrete, and Earthwork experience is required. The position supports the growth of HNTB’s local CEI team and applies senior-level engineering expertise to complex or unusual projects. The role plans and leads discipline-specific work, oversees technical quality, coordinates with clients and project partners, mentors team members, and contributes to project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in Engineering and 7 years of relevant experience, or a PhD in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience.
FDOT Asphalt, Concrete, and Earthwork experience.

Nice To Haves

10 years of relevant experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities

Use senior-level technical expertise to consider a broad range of engineering solutions.
Plan discipline-specific work, distribute assignments, and lead adherence to schedules and budgets on complex or unusual engineering projects.
Assist with marketing responsibilities, including generating proposals.
Develop scopes of work and levels of effort, and manage adherence to scope and budget on complex or unusual projects within the discipline.
Oversee the completeness and accuracy of the project team’s work within the technical discipline.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members to achieve project objectives.
Coordinate project technical matters with client counterparts and teaming partners at staff level within the discipline.
Lead discipline delivery on larger, multidisciplinary projects.
Work closely with other disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
Assist with coordinating and planning schedules, hours, and work distribution for other disciplines on complex or unusual multidisciplinary projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
