Senior Project Engineer
About The Position
Prysmian is the world leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industry. We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead and drive manufacturing process improvements across our operations. This role is responsible for initiating, coordinating, and implementing high-impact projects that improve efficiency, safety, and overall performance. The SPE acts as both a technical leader and project driver, generating innovative process improvement ideas and ensuring their successful execution. Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential to deliver results on time and within scope.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial project management
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering projects and drive process improvements with measurable impact on efficiency, safety, or performance.
- Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage contractors and consultants
- Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
Responsibilities
- Identify and manage project risks
- Define project scope through collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
- Develop and implement detailed project plans
- Ensure all designs meet relevant company and industry standards
- Prepare comprehensive Requests for Quote (RFQs) for project bidding
- Coordinate and facilitate required permitting processes
- Lead and manage project execution from start to finish
- Coordinate both internal teams and external contractors
- Develop project procedures, specifications, and documentation
- Oversee EHS performance and ensure achievement of all safety targets
- Promote and embed a strong safety culture across teams and contractors
- Track progress and ensure projects are executed effectively
- Provide regular project status updates and reports
- Develop and manage punch lists for project closeout
- Ensure completion of punch list items
- Coordinate final project delivery with all stakeholders
