Senior Project Engineer
About The Position
P2S, an award-winning engineering firm named "Best Place to Work" for the past 15 years, has an open position for a Project Engineer based in Long Beach, CA. This is a full-time, on-site role with a Monday-Friday schedule. The position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus, determined by role, individual performance, and company performance. The role requires a minimum of 6+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably on major capital projects. Experience in Design-Build and CMAR is preferred, as is experience in Institutional/Higher Education and CSU projects. Experience working for a general contractor on large construction projects is also a plus. The Project Engineer will provide design, technical, and administrative support throughout all project phases and manage project document control.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in the construction industry as a project engineer or similar, including major capital projects
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude
Nice To Haves
- Design-Build experience preferred
- CMAR experience is a plus
- Institutional/Higher Education experience preferred but not required
- CSU experience is a plus but not required
- Experience working for a general contractor on large construction projects is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide design, technical, and administrative support during preconstruction, construction, and closeout phases
- Manage project document control, including circulating, receiving, tracking, and maintaining organized files (e.g., plans, meeting minutes, RFIs, submittals, change orders, ASIs, schedules, etc.)
- Oversee document management throughout all phases of design development and permitting
